Configuration features

This section will explain how to request a quotation and how to create a configuration backup.

Quotation request

A purchase quotation can be requested at any time once the configuration is finished.

On the bottom side of the configurator’s left panel, there is a dedicated button - clicking it displays a form where the user may insert their personal information and communicate any special requests. Once the form is compiled, the quotation request can be sent by clicking the “Send Request.” The sales department will reply as soon as possible.

The configurator will automatically create a list of all the components in the 3D scene with their product codes and quantities.

Configuration backup

It is possible to backup a configuration at any time in order to resume it later.

Right under the quotation request button on the left panel there is a button dedicated to the configuration backup. By clicking it, the browser will download a small-sized file on the user device containing the configuration.

This file with the .sc extension can be uploaded at any time using the dedicated button at the top of the left panel. Once loaded, the configuration can be worked on again.

Autosave

Although it is possible to manually backup a configuration, the configurator will automatically save the user’s progress in the browser’s local storage every 30 seconds.

In case of accidental browser closure or system crash, it will be possible to recover the unfinished configuration simply by reopening the configurator page and clicking “Yes” on the popup that will appear at the bottom of the screen. Pressing “No” or ignoring the popup will result in losing all progress made.
