Accessory management#
This section will explain how to add and manage accessories within the row.
Accessories are additional components that can be added on a bay or other components. Wheter it is a side cladding, a new shelf or a divider for a modular container, each accessory is managed in a similar way through the configurator’s right panel.
Right panel overview#
Once a row component is clicked, the right panel will update. It is divided into two sections:
Add a bay: this section is used for adding a bay to the row being worked on.
Manage selection: this section is used to manage the selected component, allowing the user to delete it or to add a compatible accessory to it.
Adding a bay#
The section dedicated to adding a bay is very similar to the one used for adding a row from the configurator’s left panel. The only difference is that there is no depth setting since that parameter is already taken from the selected row.
The bay will be placed on the first available position in the row.

Selection management#
The selection management section allows you to delete the selected component or to add an accessory compatible with it:
Deleting components: the selected component can be deleted by clicking the button at the top of the section. A confirmation popup will be displayed and, if confirmed, the component will be removed from the 3D scene. Depending on what the user is trying to delete, there are some restrictions in place:
For bay deletion, there are some things to keep in mind:
It won’t be possible to proceed if the row has only one bay. The desired result can be obtained by deleting the row completely.
Users can delete bays in any order they please. Therefore, except for the previous point, it is possible to remove any selected bay, even if it is not the very last one. The row will automatically adjust itself and it will redistribute the shelves if needed. Furthermore, if there are height differences between frames, the configurator may delete several shelves since the available space may not be sufficient to mount them all.
If there are bays with swinging doors mounted, it may not be possible to remove a bay placed immediately before the one with the doors if the new load-bearing frame is not high enough. An error popup will be shown to inform the user of the problem.
Instead, it is not possible to delete shelves if there are less than the minimum number of four on the bay.
Once a component is removed, the button will be temporarily disabled until a new component is selected. A message confirming the success of the operation will be shown under the button.
Adding accessories: a list of accessories which are compatible with the selected component can be found under the “delete” button.
Each accessory has a preview thumbnail and a description.
On the left of the thumbnail there is a button – if pressed, the accessory will be added to the selected component (on the first available position).
If no available space remains, an error popup will be shown.
If the selected component has no compatible accessories, a message will be shown in place of a list.
